Project Story:

Over 1 million square feet of 8138 XR-5 is in service at the Santa Fe Pacific Gold facility in Glamis, CA. Here, XR-5 is used as a ditch liner to contain the pregnant solution from the heap to the pregnant ponds. This facility in the desert area of California, where temperatures can go as high as 120° F, was designed with a special cream-colored XR-5 material to minimize heat build-up for mine workers who must walk on the surface.
